Goals:

• To assist the service by checking microphones and putting set pieces in place.
• To keep the stage and backstage areas clean and safe.
• To stay calm and flexible: Services can be unpredictable; stay calm and be prepared to adapt to changes.

*Note: Please give the pastors space backstage. They are praying and preparing to speak, and it’s important they are not distracted unless absolutely necessary.

Pre-service

• Ensure that pastor and announcement mics are fully charged
• Ensure the podium and any other stage pieces are in place backstage.
• Adjust curtain legs
• Ensure that backstage paths are clear
• Ensure that any loose wires on stage are taped down.

During Service

• Be on standby to assist with any urgent stage needs.
• Pastor mic check during last song before sermon.
• Set podium out during bumper video.
• Strike podium after sermon (unless otherwise directed, depending on the service flow)

Post-Service

• Ensure that pastor mics, announcement mics, and intercoms are charging.
